Andy’s passion is helping people understand and change the deeper emotional patterns that shape how they see themselves, relate to others, and move through life. His focus is not just on managing symptoms, but helping people create meaningful and lasting change from the inside out.
Before entering psychology, Andy spent five years working in education, including teaching senior Psychology and conducting research into teacher burnout and wellbeing. His clinical interests increasingly drew him towards psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches, and particularly Affective Set-Point Therapy (SPT). SPT focuses on understanding how early relationships and emotional experiences can shape enduring patterns in how we feel, respond and relate to others. Andy uses this approach to help people work with the underlying emotional patterns that can keep anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties and other problems repeating, even when they intellectually understand them. His style is warm, collaborative and focused on creating change alongside deeper self-understanding.
